According to CoinMeta, the British football club Real Bedford is deeply integrating Bitcoin (BTC) into its operations. Some players have chosen to receive part or all of their salaries in BTC, and the stadium also supports Bitcoin payments. The club was acquired in 2022 by Bitcoin podcast host Peter McCormack and has since received millions of dollars in investment from co-founders Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss. It has also leveraged the Bitcoin community to expand its sponsorship and commercial revenue.
