Coinbureau: The 90-day correlation between Bitcoin and gold rises to +

According to CoinMeta, Coinbureau indicates that the 90-day correlation between Bitcoin and gold has just risen to +0.50, reaching the highest level in nearly six years. The last time it reached such a high level was in 2020, during the period stimulated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the correlation between Bitcoin and the Nasdaq has dropped to around 0.30, a one-year low, which challenges the view that Bitcoin is merely an investment in leveraged tech. This change occurred after the Treasury Department increased its efforts to repurchase long-term debt, driving Bitcoin up by 22.4%, the largest weekly increase since March 2024, in sync with gold. The gold market has reached a size of $30 trillion. If Bitcoin continues to trade like gold, it may begin to attract capital that currently prices gold.
