According to CoinMeta, as of September 5th, Bitcoin has seen a cumulative increase of about 36.11% in the third quarter, while Ethereum has seen a cumulative increase of about 56.53%. Among them, Ethereum is currently performing at its third-best level in history, second only to the 66.55% increase in 2025 and the 59.5% increase in 2020. Bitcoin, on the other hand, has performed significantly better than the 6.31% increase during the same period in 2025, but still falls short of the strong performance seen in quarters such as 2017 and 2021.
