According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Polish radio stations, the Polish Sejm failed to override the veto of President Karol Nawrocki regarding the cryptocurrency market regulation bill. During the voting, 241 out of 442 attending members supported overturning the veto, while 198 opposed it, and 3 abstained, falling 25 votes short of the required 266. This is the third time that Karol Nawrocki has vetoed this bill. The bill proposes that the Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) be responsible for regulating the cryptocurrency market. The president believes that the bill imposes excessive regulations and will force Polish companies to relocate abroad. Prime Minister Donald Tusk called for support of the bill before the voting and mentioned the investigation into the collapsed exchange ZondaCrypto.
