Analyst: Gold prices fall by nearly $100, hitting a new low since August
2026-09-02 01:22:41
According to CoinMeta, the price of gold fell by nearly $100 today, currently at around $4,353, marking the lowest level since August 18th, with a intraday low of $4,326.38. Today's decline has brought the price below the 100-day moving average, which is currently at $4,379.81, with sellers dominating the market. If buyers wish to take control again, they need to push the price back above this moving average. A break below the support level of $4,310.61 could further increase selling pressure. Meanwhile, both U.S. Treasury yields and the dollar rose today, and crude oil prices increased by more than $3.80; these factors are all putting downward pressure on the gold price.
