Binance Reminds Users to Be Vigilant Against Phishing Text Messages
2026-09-02 00:41:26
According to CoinMeta, Wu said that there has been an increase in phishing messages targeting cryptocurrency users recently. Attackers often pretend to be security alerts and attach shortened links to induce users to click, thereby stealing account funds. It is advised that users should not verify or protect their accounts through SMS links. Instead, it is recommended to confirm information through Binance Verify, enable a whitelist for withdrawal addresses, and use anti-phishing measures. If a suspicious link is clicked, users should immediately contact the Binance customer service through the official app.
