According to CoinMeta, affected by the simultaneous significant increase in bond yields in the United States, Germany, and Japan, the prices of gold and silver tumbled significantly within a single day. Spot gold fell nearly 1.8% to around $4,370 per ounce, marking three consecutive days of decline, with a cumulative drop of over 3.5% in the past three trading days. Spot silver also fell nearly 3% to around $64.5 per ounce. The yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds surpassed 4.75%, while the yield on 10-year German bonds rose to 3.34%, and Japanese 10-year bond yields exceeded 3% for the first time in nearly 30 years. Despite the escalating conflict between the United States and Iran driving up oil prices and increasing demand for safe-haven assets, the market is concerned about the resurgence of inflation and the risk of further interest rate hikes by major central banks.
