According to CoinMeta, Bitfinex announced the launch of five types of tokenized securities, allowing qualified investors to trade in US dollars, USDT, and Bitcoin. These securities are associated with strategies, Metaplanet, and other publicly traded Bitcoin treasury companies. This launch is seen as an opportunity to offer such products for the first time on a regulated tokenized stock exchange. Bitfinex securities stated that these securities are backed by underlying assets, and investors do not directly own shares in the corresponding companies. This listing follows the $50 million tokenization financing that Bitfinex securities completed for the metal company Alkemya in August.
