Singapore formulates new regulations for stablecoins, covering overseas issuers and interest

According to CoinMeta, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has proposed amendments to the Payment Services Act of 2019 to incorporate stablecoin frameworks into the law, as well as introduce regulations for overseas issuers, interest payments, and issuer liquidation plans. MAS released a related consultation in September.
