2026-09-01 12:18:45
According to CoinMeta, on August 31st, the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission introduced new regulations that allow licensed intermediaries to provide retail investors with access to investments in overseas qualified digital asset derivatives. The proposal covers retail, high-net-worth, and ultra-high-net-worth investors, but does not grant unrestricted access to all crypto futures or options products listed outside of Thailand. Eligible contracts must be similar to the digital asset derivatives permitted in Thailand. The consultation period will last until September 30th, and the regulatory authorities have not yet announced the effective date of the final regulations or which foreign exchanges and contracts will qualify.
