According to CoinMeta, U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll has submitted his resignation to President Trump and is expected to leave the Pentagon in the coming days. In the months prior to this, tensions arose between him and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth regarding the direction of the Army and the dismissal of several senior officers. After Driscoll's departure, the Army will no longer have any civilian or military leaders confirmed by the Senate. Since Hegseth fired the previous Army Chief of Staff, General Randy George, General Christopher Lanneff has been serving as the acting Army Chief of Staff.
