According to CoinMeta, NVIDIA announced that it will invest $3.5 billion in MediaTek to further deepen their collaboration in the field of AI chips. According to a joint statement, NVIDIA will purchase bonds that can be converted into MediaTek shares, and this investment will expand the cooperation between the two chip designers. MediaTek will utilize NVIDIA's nvlink, fusion, and the latest nvhbm technologies to help various components in data centers communicate more smoothly. MediaTek is attempting to challenge the market positions of Broadcom and Marvell Technologies by helping data center operators create customized components. Previously, Amazon also announced a similar cooperation agreement, agreeing to deploy an additional 2 million NVIDIA components and committing to using NVIDIA's connectivity technology in its own-developed chips.
