According to CoinMeta, the South Korean National Tax Service plans to introduce a commercial tracking program to monitor and analyze the flow of funds between digital asset wallets, in order to strengthen tax regulation on virtual assets held in personal wallets and overseas exchanges. The South Korean government stated that any income generated from the transfer or lending of digital assets held in personal wallets and overseas exchanges is subject to taxation, and overseas exchanges will comply with this through the Automated Information Exchange Framework for Cryptocurrencies (CARF).
