Citi raises revenue guidance for Marvell, optimistic about its transformation into a custom computing platform

According to CoinMeta and research by TrendForce, Citibank mentioned in its research report on August 28th that Marvell raised its revenue guidance for two consecutive quarters. The revenue guidance for FY2027 was increased from $1.15 billion to approximately $1.2 billion, and for FY2028 it was increased from $1.65 billion to about $1.8 billion. Marvell reported second-quarter revenue of $274 million, with non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.94. The mid-point for third-quarter revenue guidance is $315 million, which is higher than the market consensus of $300 million. Citibank maintains a buy rating with a target price of $275. Citibank believes that Marvell is transitioning towards becoming a custom computing platform company, and the agreement signed with Google in July covers multiple categories. Citibank estimates that the sales for FY2027 and FY2028 AI data centers reached $530 million and $770 million respectively.
