According to CoinMeta, Brad Cooper, the commander of the U.S. Central Command, stated on August 28 that there are currently about 50,000 U.S. troops deployed in the Middle East, many of whom are carrying out a maritime blockade against Iran. He also mentioned that since the blockade was re-imposed in mid-July, more than 20 warships have been maintaining this blockade.
