Arch: Tokenized gold becomes an effective collateral in crypto lending
2026-08-29 03:24:08
According to CoinMeta, Arch co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Himanshu Sahay stated that tokenized gold is becoming increasingly important in crypto lending. Especially after the AAVE reached a debt ceiling of $25 million in XAUT, Arch Lending also began to accept two major gold tokens as loan collateral. Sahay pointed out that the demand for tokenized gold loans indicates that holders are starting to regard these assets as a usable part of the digital financial system, rather than just tools for tracking gold prices. According to the assessment by Chaos Labs, the AAVE XAUT market reached a debt ceiling of $25 million at the end of January, and Chaos Labs suggested raising the ceiling to $30 million due to the identified demand for using XAUT as collateral for stablecoin lending.
