According to CoinMeta, Trump signed an executive order to initiate the process of establishing the "American Space Academy," stating that the academy will serve the U.S. Space Force, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the civilian space industry. It will be modeled after military institutions such as West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy to attract, train, and produce America's finest talents. Trump mentioned that the location of the academy will be announced later on and hinted that Texas Senator Ted Cruz has been lobbying to have it established in Texas. In addition, Trump emphasized his space strategy, which includes creating a Space Force during his first term and plans to carry out a mission to Mars in 2028, by which time a nuclear-powered interstellar spacecraft will be deployed.
