Binance Launches Trading of Bitcoin Mining Company MARA and Four Traditional Financial Assets
2026-08-28 21:30:38
According to CoinMeta, Binance has announced the official launch of perpetual contract trading related to stocks of five major global companies, including the Bitcoin mining company MARA Holdings. The leverage can reach up to 20 times. This launch coincides with a major business reorganization of MARA; the latest financial report shows that the mining company suffered a net loss of $611 million and its revenue decreased by 27%. Against this backdrop, MARA sold nearly one-third of its Bitcoin reserves in the first half of the year, raising about $1.6 billion to build data centers and artificial intelligence infrastructure. The introduction of these new contracts reflects traders' bets on the company's transformation, and not just as an alternative to buying Bitcoin.
