UAE 'Spy Sheikh' Supports 49% Stake in Trump Family's Crypto Bank

According to CoinMeta, and as reported by The Wall Street Journal, Tahnoon Ben Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's national security advisor ( Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan ), supports the crypto bank planned by the Trump family, holding 49% of the shares in the bank's holding company. This investment further deepens his financial ties with the Trump business empire. Entities related to the Trump family also own an additional 38% of the shares. In January 2025, Tahnoon and other investors invested $500 million in World Freedom Finance ( World Liberty Financial ), a pro-Trump entity, and acquired 49% of the shares in that crypto company. This transaction directed $263 million towards Trump family entities. Trump's business generated at least $59.5 million in foreign licensing income in the first year of his second term.
