Since December last year, the Federal Reserve's benchmark interest rate has remained unchanged at 3.50%-3.75%, but inflation data in July strengthened the case for further policy tightening. Currently, the market estimates that there is about a 35% chance of the Federal Reserve raising interest rates at its meeting on September 16.
