According to CoinMeta, the Central Bank of Brazil has collaborated with Hypernative to develop a cryptocurrency threat warning system that provides support for banks and cryptocurrency exchanges in attack identification, response, and fund tracking. In July 2025, cybercriminals exploited a vulnerability in the C&M software to steal $180 million, an incident that prompted the Central Bank of Brazil to accelerate the development of the system. According to reports from Bitcoin.com and News, Regina Pedroso, the executive director of ABToken, stated that the system will be implemented within the next two weeks, and Foxbit and Mercado Bitcoin will be involved in its implementation. Additionally, Brazil will adopt 24-hour preventive hold measures for cryptocurrency transactions that exceed $10,000 per transaction or per day.
