Korean stocks decline for the second consecutive week, and the trading fever for AI cools down

According to CoinMeta, the South Korean stock market fell on Friday, set to experience a second consecutive week of decline. After NVIDIA announced its earnings outlook, the enthusiasm for artificial intelligence trading cooled down, and investors remained cautious ahead of the Jackson Hole Conference. The South Korean KOSPI index fell by 0.8% today, and has dropped by 1% so far this week. Among the heavyweight stocks, chip manufacturer Samsung Electronics fell by 2.2%, and SK Hynix fell by 1.8%. Battery manufacturer LG ShinEco Energy fell by 0.8%. Hyundai Motor and Kia rose by 0.2% and 0.6% respectively. So far this year, the KOSPI index has risen by more than 62%.
