Ethena proposes to use 95% of its revenue for the repurchase of ENA
2026-08-28 03:02:07
According to CoinMeta, Ethena proposes to use 95% of its brand business net revenue for the ENA buyback, provided that the USDE supply reaches $7.5 billion. This proposal aims to address two long-standing issues with ENA: the continuous supply resulting from early investors' unlocking and the uncertainty of how the economic value of the protocol benefits token holders. The Ethena foundation stated that the proposal also includes ending monthly investor unlocks and separating the ecosystem economy from the equity of Ethena Labs. There was a strong reaction to the proposal after its announcement; the price has risen by about 23% in the past 24 hours, and it is currently around $0.17 per unit. The proposal also links the voting rights of ENA holders to the scale of USDE in circulation, which is expected to boost market demand for ENA.
