The model's hardware standard (MHS) is designed to be compatible with any device that has a programmable interface, including those used in scientific research and advanced manufacturing. Anthropic stated that MHS is intended to help companies reduce the time required for setting up and integrating hardware, and it is model-independent; users do not have to rely on Anthropic's Claude series of models. This standard was initially made available to certain organizations in the fields of science, robotics, and manufacturing, but there are plans to open-source it in the future, allowing device manufacturers from any industry to adopt it.
