According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, the United States is investigating a Singaporean company Apex Logistics for allegedly aiding in the smuggling of restricted NVIDIA AI servers into China. This investigation involves 47 shipments and may mark the first time the U.S. has taken action against a shipping company for assisting in illegal semiconductor trade. The incident occurred not long after Taiwan filed charges against a NVIDIA manager. U.S. authorities stated that billions of dollars worth of restricted NVIDIA chips have reached China through a complex smuggling network, and the crackdown is deepening into the AI semiconductor supply chain.
