Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs releases data on capital gains tax for crypto assets; 17,600 people declared their earnings

According to CoinMeta, on August 27, the UK Tax and Customs Administration released data showing that during the 2024-2025 tax year, a total of 17,600 individuals reported earnings from crypto assets, with a total disposal income of 13.8 billion pounds and a realized profit of 1.38 billion pounds. Male taxpayers accounted for 87% of those who filed reports, contributing 93% of the profits. Taxpayers with earnings exceeding 1 million pounds made up less than 2% of the total, but they contributed more than half of the profits. Taxpayers with earnings below 25,000 pounds accounted for 65% and contributed 7% to 8% of the total profits. 81% of those who filed reports were under the age of 54, with the group aged 25 to 44 accounting for 54% of that proportion.
