Coincheck Completes Registration with Japanese Electronic Payment Service Providers, Set to Launch Stablecoin Business

According to CoinMeta, Coincheck completed the registration for electronic payment methods and other transaction services on August 27th, becoming the second company in Japan to obtain a license related to such stablecoins. Coincheck will expand the use cases of USDC in Japan based on its collaboration with Circle, and carry out stablecoin and blockchain finance-related businesses. Coincheck stated that stablecoins have price stability linked to fiat currencies, which can be used for 24/7 fast and low-cost transfers and payments.
