According to CoinMeta, the National Institute on Retirement Security ( NIRS ) in the United States recently released a report titled "Retirement Insecurity in 2026: Americans' Views on Retirement," which indicates that 80% of Americans surveyed believe the country is facing a retirement crisis, a significant increase from 67% in 2020. 61% of respondents are concerned about not being able to achieve financial security after retirement. This concern is mainly driven by inflation (73%), market volatility (62%), and the pressures of daily living costs and debt. At the same time, the survey shows that the public holds a conservative attitude towards the use of AI and crypto assets in emerging financial tools. 77% of respondents believe that including cryptocurrencies in retirement accounts carries high risks, with 46% considering it to be extremely risky, and 53% explicitly oppose employers providing such investment options.
