According to CoinMeta, the U.S. government has transferred a small portion of the Bitcoin seized from the Alameda Research account, with the transaction being flagged by blockchain analysis firm Arkham on August 26th. This Bitcoin originated from funds seized around three years ago from Binance and Binance.US. Arkham did not specify whether this transfer represented a sale, and the destination of the latest Bitcoin transfer was not indicated in the alert. This transaction is notable as the government has recently made multiple transfers related to assets seized from FTX and Alameda. In May, Arkham identified approximately $1.9 million in seized Alameda tokens and transferred them to Coinbase Prime. In July, government-related wallets transferred over $288 million in seized Bitcoin and Ethereum to Coinbase Prime, involving assets from multiple criminal cases. The assets held by Alameda were part of a larger confiscation action following the collapse of FTX, involving over $300 million in assets. The seized assets included more than $102 million in Bitcoin and Bitcoin packages.
