According to CoinMeta, Wall Street giants JPMorgan Chase, Blackstone, and Wells Fargo are considering entering a market that has long been dominated by crypto-native companies Tether and Circle. These banks are building stablecoin payment systems, exploring digitally issued US dollars by banks, and launching tokenized money market funds that pay daily interest. Currently, the trading volume of stablecoins has reached about 10 trillion Korean won, or approximately 7 billion US dollars per day, and this move opens the door for regulated financial institutions to compete for control over digital currencies.
