Ethereum price returns to $3,000, developers propose post-quantum security solutions

According to CoinMeta, Ethereum’s price has risen from below $2,000 to over $2,500 during the recent rebound, with the goal of reaching $3,000 becoming increasingly clear. Ethereum reached a daily high of $2,544 on August 21 before falling back to $2,458 on August 26. Strong capital inflows and improved profits for “whales” have supported this recovery, and developers are also making progress with long-term work towards post-quantum security. Ethereum has risen by about 30% in the past week and is currently trading between $2,500 and $2,510, with the next major target being close to $3,000. Last week, spot Ethereum capital inflows reached $697 million, with institutional investors continuing to increase their holdings of Ethereum. Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s price broke through $80,000, adding momentum to the crypto market. Analysis shows that Ethereum whales have returned to a state of unrealized profits after the rebound; wallets holding 1,000 to 10,000 Ether have an unrealized profit/loss ratio of 0.075, those holding 10,000 to 100,000 Ether have a ratio of 0.16, and those holding over 100,000 Ether have a ratio of 0.38, indicating that whale profits are moderate, which may be a positive signal for Ethereum’s price.
