According to CoinMeta, HyperLiquid founder Jeff Yan revealed on Discord that the HyperCore manual borrowing feature has been launched on the test network. Currently, all borrowing functions on the mainnet are still limited to the portfolio margin mode. The Hyperevm smart contracts can already access the lending functions through CoreWriter and read-only precompiled contracts. The lending capabilities within the HyperLiquid ecosystem are now open to the smart contract layer.
