Morning News: Falling oil prices ease market tensions
2026-08-26 18:55:19
According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Reuters, global oil prices continued to decline on Wednesday, with Brent crude futures falling by more than 2% to around $86 per barrel. Expectations of increased supply through the Strait of Hormuz drove this trend. If this trend continues, it will represent the largest weekly drop in oil prices since June. Although official data indicates that the volume of oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz is not large, U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright stated that there is still a significant amount of oil in transit. Meanwhile, investors are looking forward to NVIDIA's financial report released after the market closes to understand the health of the AI ecosystem. It is expected that NVIDIA will report doubling its revenue over the past year, with annual revenue expected to exceed $100 billion.
