securitize submits a request for a ruling to dismiss the counterclaim of tzero
2026-08-26 07:45:17
According to CoinMeta, attorney ariel stated that securitize has submitted a court statement supporting the rejection of tzero's counterclaim, arguing that the 5 patents involved ('560, '496, '802, '078, and '996') are invalid under Section 101 of the US alice standard. securitize believes that these patents, which deal with custody, securities transfer compliance checks, investor status updates, and whitelist restrictions, are essentially traditional economic activities that are merely implemented in a computer environment using known blockchain technologies, without any improvements to the underlying technology. securitize requests the court to reject tzero's counterclaim and not to allow it to be filed again.
