According to CoinMeta, Franklin Templeton has begun distributing its tokenized money market fund, known as the Franklin On-Chain U.S. Government Liquidity Fund (Franklin On-Chain U.S. Government Liquidity Fund), through the HashKey exchange, providing Hong Kong customers with access to blockchain-packaged U.S. government debt. The fund primarily invests in U.S. government money market instruments and U.S. dollar cash assets and is now available on the income channel of HashKey. Franklin Templeton manages assets worth $1.8 trillion and launched a tokenized version in 2021, becoming the first U.S. registered mutual fund to use a public blockchain to record share ownership. This product is aimed at professional investors only, with returns tracking the short end of the Treasury yield curve. RWA.xyz data shows that the Benji tokens have achieved a yield of approximately 3.6% over seven and thirty days, with a net asset value of $1.00, and there are more than 1,100 holders. Ocean Ru, the CEO of HashKey, stated that this listing meets the needs of institutions for returns on compliant, real assets.
