Arthur Hayes: Flop will become the native currency of the AI intelligent economy
2026-08-25 17:26:39
According to CoinMeta, co-founder Arthur Hayes stated that the AI intelligent agents will need to continuously purchase computing power, storage capacity, and engage in economic activities in the future. However, there is currently a lack of a unified currency and market that allows for direct and transparent exchange of computing power. Therefore, Flop Network plans to use Flop as the native currency for the AI intelligent agent economy, and will reward miners who complete AI reasoning tasks through a "useful reasoning proof" system. The project intends to allocate about 20% of the token supply for airdrops over the next decade to reward users who truly participate in the network. The token test network is expected to launch in late October of this year, while the mainnet is scheduled to go live in the first quarter of next year. Hayes also mentioned that the success of the project depends on whether an intelligent agent economy can be established, as well as whether the AI intelligent agents will use Flop to exchange for computing power.
