Larry Fink: Putting money in the bank is one of the worst financial decisions.
2026-08-25 15:48:39
According to CoinMeta, Blackstone Group CEO Larry Fink warned at the Milken Global Conference that depositing funds in banks could be "one of the worst financial decisions of a lifetime." He pointed out that with the rise of artificial intelligence, investors and asset owners will receive greater returns, and suggested that Americans should engage with capital markets to participate in economic growth. Fink believes that the pace of wage growth may not keep up with the value created by AI investments, resulting in asset owners holding an disproportionate share of the benefits during this technological boom. Blackstone estimates that about 40% of Americans have not yet accessed capital markets. He emphasized that investing should be done after ensuring basic financial security, and families need sufficient funds to cover expenses and unexpected events.
