Apple may launch new Mac and mini before its September event

According to CoinMeta, as reported by renowned technology journalist Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing to launch its first new version of Mac mini in nearly two years, which could debut in the coming days, possibly ahead of the September event. Apple has already tested versions equipped with two generations of processor chips, M5 and M6. This upgrade comes at a time when demand for the current Mac mini has surged, as this product has become a popular tool for running artificial intelligence applications locally. The shortage of memory chips also makes it more difficult for Apple to maintain inventory supplies of this product. Mac mini may become the last new product launched during Cook's CEO tenure and is also one of the important products that Apple is committed to bringing more manufacturing operations back to the United States. Earlier this year, Apple pledged to begin producing Mac mini in Houston later in 2026.
