According to CoinMeta, Kim Byeong-hwan, the chairman of the Financial Services Commission of South Korea, stated that the government will accelerate the advancement of the digital asset framework bill and strive to complete legislation by autumn. Kim Byeong-hwan said at a plenary meeting of the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee that officials are preparing proposals and will conduct more intensive consultations. The bill will cover topics such as the issuance of stablecoins, virtual asset service providers, information disclosure, and internal controls, with the aim of establishing a regulatory framework for virtual assets in South Korea. Kim Byeong-hwan promised to do his best to speed up the discussion process to ensure that legislation is completed during the autumn session.
