Goldman Sachs: Samsung Electronics' shareholder return forecast for 2026 is lower than market expectations

According to CoinMeta, as reported by A early issuer of in in 2021, a research report released by Goldman Sachs on August 23 indicated that Samsung Electronics' shareholder return pool for 2026 is expected to be between 90 trillion and 110 trillion Korean won, which is lower than the market's expectation of 150 trillion Korean won. Goldman Sachs maintains its buy rating on Samsung Electronics, with a target price of 490,000 Korean won for the common stock. Samsung Electronics plans to distribute about 30 trillion Korean won in cash dividends in the third quarter, with the remaining amount to be implemented after the financial report in January 2027 is confirmed. Goldman Sachs estimates that Samsung Electronics' cumulative free cash flow from 2024 to 2026 will be about 270 trillion Korean won, with a return of about 106 trillion Korean won in 2026. In addition, Goldman Sachs expects the return pool to increase to 179 trillion and 232 trillion Korean won in 2027 and 2028 respectively, and has raised its earnings per share forecasts for 2026 to 2028 by 1%, 7%, and 11% respectively.
