According to CoinMeta, on August 20th, during an event held at the White House with leaders from the tech industry, Trump responded to questions regarding whether the U.S. government planned to significantly increase its holdings of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. He stated that the matter had indeed been discussed and that they might consider the judgment and suggestions of Chairman Paul Atkins and his team. Trump also mentioned that such assets have alleviated some of the pressure on the dollar, which is very beneficial for it. However, he did not confirm that the U.S. government has made a decision to increase its holdings.
