According to CoinMeta, as reported by bitcoin.com and news, the South Korean Financial Services Commission plans to open corporate virtual asset accounts for approximately 3,500 listed companies and registered professional investors. The South Korean National Assembly has passed amendments to the "Electronic Securities Act" and the "Capital Market Act," incorporating real-world assets and securities-like tokens into the legal framework. The Bank of Korea has completed the preliminary trials of its Project Hangang real-world deposit token project and plans to carry out a second phase of institutional testing by the end of 2026. It also intends to use wholesale deposit tokens to have AI execute automated conditional transactions on its behalf.
