According to CoinMeta, recently there has been an acceleration in the profit-taking on Ethereum, with Blackstone Group reportedly selling a large amount of Ethereum within the past 24 hours. Ethereum performed most strongly in 2026, with its price breaking through $2,400 for the first time, and the current trading price is $2,429. Although market expectations for a bull market still exist, multiple factors indicate that Ethereum may face a correction. Ethereum ETF attracted $508.6 million in capital inflows this week, the highest level in several months. However, Blackstone's selling activity could exacerbate the selling pressure in the market. According to CoinMeta data, the whale orders for Ethereum on Binance and OKX resulted in net outflows of $2.66 million and $8.44 million respectively. Overall, the number of short positions in the derivatives market is also increasing, indicating that whales are inclined to be bearish in their trades on Friday.
