According to CoinMeta, Aveanna Healthcare (Nasdaq: AVAH) held a second-quarter earnings conference call on August 13th, where CEO Jeffrey Shaner announced that California's 2027 budget would include a meaningful increase in pediatric home care rates for the first time, expected to take effect on January 1, 2027. This decision marks the end of a four-year advocacy effort involving Aveanna's operations in 32 states with home care services. The company's revenue in the second quarter increased by 13.7% year-over-year, reaching approximately $670 million, with growth in all three segments. Revenue from home health and hospice care increased by 14.8%, home care services by 14.0%, and medical solutions by 9.4%. Management also noted that Aveanna achieved rate increases in seven states during the second quarter, and it is expected that more states will pass similar budgets by the end of the third quarter.
