According to CoinMeta, the price of Ethereum rose by 3% on August 21, reaching $2,397, and briefly touched $2,448 during the session, continuing the breakout driven by capital inflows into ETF and the liquidation of short positions. According to CryptoNews data, ETH opened at $2,327 on August 21 before climbing to $2,448. This 3% daily increase follows a period during which ETH was pushed from below $2,000 to above $2,300, breaking through several levels that limit price increases, including the psychological barrier of $2,000 and the resistance zone of $2,250. On the 4-hour chart, ETH broke through the $2,375 level of Murrey Math, but struggled to maintain that level near $2,450. Short-term momentum remains strong, with the 4-hour Awesome Oscillator rising to 329.16, indicating that the upward momentum has not weakened. On August 19, U.S. spot Ethereum ETF recorded a net inflow of $189 million, of which Blackstone's ETHA accounted for approximately $122 million. This purchase of ETF occurred as Ethereum broke through $2,000, resulting in the liquidation of over $1 billion in Ethereum short positions.
