According to CoinMeta, reported by CryptoNews, Bitcoin mining pool operator Poolin Technology based in New Jersey and its two affiliated companies have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, with estimated liabilities ranging from 100 million to 500 million US dollars. According to court records, Poolin submitted a voluntary application on July 22 at the New Jersey District Court, and the case is being presided over by Judge Eamonn J O' Hagan. Poolin's application lists estimated assets between 1 million and 10 million US dollars, and it is expected that the debtor will have funds available for distribution to unsecured creditors. The bankruptcy process is ongoing, with an auction scheduled to take place on September 10.
