Kimmo Siren: Farcaster should break away from dependence on a single management party
2026-08-21 15:27:37
According to CoinMeta, Kimmo Siren, the product leader of Lens and co-founder of ORB, believes that Farcaster should develop to a stage where it no longer relies on a single long-term manager. He argues that decentralized social protocols should allow any client to directly read, write, replay, and verify the complete history without having to trust a single team. As infrastructures such as Ethereum, blobs, and EIP-4844 mature, social data can be written in bulk at low cost and re-hosted by anyone, while also being verified through on-chain commitments. Kimmo Siren aims to build a replicable and verifiable on-chain social state, ensuring that the social network can continue to exist even when management teams change.
