The Credibility Crisis of Pi Network: Real Infrastructure and Unverified Partnerships
2026-08-21 14:06:45
According to CoinMeta, Pi Network is facing a credibility crisis. Although its infrastructure is genuine, its cooperative relationships with PayPal and Robopay have not yet been verified. Pi Network's Protocol 27 is the ultimate planned upgrade, and ESMA has registered its whitepaper, but the integration of PayPal has still not been confirmed. Despite each announcement of a partnership triggering a temporary increase in social media activity and trading volume, the authenticity of these collaborations remains doubtful. Pi Network reported having over 421,000 active nodes in 2026 and completed two major protocol upgrades. Although its ecosystem is developing, it has not yet reached the user adoption standards of mature blockchains.
