According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, due to local concerns about resource consumption, at least 75 data center projects in the United States with a total value of approximately $130 billion were halted or postponed in the first three months of this year. OpenAI is currently recruiting community engagement leaders and is investing $40 million to establish a community fund in Ohio. Meta is hiring community engagement managers and is running advertisements for its data centers. Microsoft has stated that it will no longer seek local tax incentives for new data center constructions.
