According to CoinMeta, the Trump administration is actively pushing for new cryptocurrency regulations, despite obstacles faced by key bills in Congress. During a White House meeting with senior executives from the crypto industry, Trump called on Congress to break the deadlock over the Clear Act, which has been stalled due to controversial ethical provisions aimed at preventing government officials from profiting from digital assets. The meeting attracted about a dozen participants, including SEC Chair Paul Atkins, CFTC Chair Mike Selig, as well as the CEOs of Coinbase and Robinhood. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve (FRB) is accelerating its regulatory timeline, planning to finalize federal rules for stablecoins by November and begin processing crypto licensing applications in January next year. These advancements align with broader regulatory changes in Washington.
